Our client is a very large and successful industrial group with offices and top facade construction projects all over the world. For his European headquarter based Switzerland we are looking for a highly motivated and engaged construction professional.
Duties:
In this entrepreneurial position you will manage interesting and challenging projects with partner architects and engineering companies mainly in Europe. Here the main objectives of the position:
1. To manage each phase of challenging and important projects by direct action and by liaison with and leadership of the appointed managers for each project phase to bring the project to a successful conclusion in terms of quality, programme and profit.
2. The Project Manager is to monitor, using the defined models and systems (where they exist), and to initiate decisions and corrective actions where necessary in each project phase. Each significant decision or action is to be notified in advance to the Project Director and all decisions and actions are to be recorded.
3. The Project Manager is to actively lead the Project Team and must have a good working knowledge of the key project issues, i.e. design, specification, programme and price.
4. The Project Manager will be sporadically travelling.
Requirements:
University degree in construction or mechanical engineering, solid fundation in large-scale project management, high degree of social and leadership skills, a sound working knowledge of spoken and written English, German would be a great plus .
