For the Thermal Process Technology Department we are looking for a Senior Pyroprocess Engineer as Senior Consulting Engineer in the Kiln Operation and Control Group.
Tasks:
- Support Group Plants in kiln operation, related trouble shooting and optimization
- Organize and realize plant audits in collaboration with the plant staff
- Translate measurement results into recommendations for maximization of kiln system efficiency, production rate, product quality and reduction of energy consumption
- Support commissioning, performance testing and optimization of new or modified kiln systems (kiln, preheater, precalciner, clinker cooler)
- Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), flow sheets, interlocks and functional descriptions
- Transfer know how in specialized local and central training courses (eg. kiln systems operation training), seminars and workshops
Profile:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree with technical background
- Profound knowledge in kiln operation and clinker manufacturing
- Experience in a cement plant or several years experience as consultant in a process technology position or as a Senior Process Engineer of a cement equipment supplier
- Knowledge in training of control room operators as well as experience in commissioning of cement plant equipment are an advantage
Languages: Excellent command of English; further language skills are an advantage
We are looking for a customer-oriented team player with an analytical and open mind as well as outstanding problem solving skills. An understanding of other cultures and willingness to travel internationally up to 50% (usually short term journeys up to 2 - 4 weeks) is required.
