Our client is one of five divisions of a worldwide operation industry group based near Geneva with a turnover of 300 million £ and operating profit of £70.3 M.
The company designs and delivers technical products, services, systems to ensure problem-free, energy-efficient and cost-effective heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions for buildings and indoor environments. Main markets are heating and cooling systems for commercial buildings and temperature control for residential buildings. It employs circa 1,850 people across the globe with production sites in Sweden, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Germany and the US.
The Business Controller Operations will be a part of the finance management team and report to the operations directory. The Business Controller Operations shall, through the activities in the financial area, proactively participate in the strategic development of the Contract Manufacturing operations.
Main responsibilities:
- Be the focal financial point of contact and partner of the European Operations
- Drive and consolidate operational performance of all European plants (financials & non financials performance)
- Support Procurement & Supply Chain teams, measure performance & improvement, and report
- Worldwide responsibility for the finance functions belonging to the contract manufacturing operations
- Overall responsibility for budgeting, accounting, reporting issues for the Contract Manufacturing operations including P&L and cash flow – as well as all bridges
- Ascertain operations efficiency for the business in close cooperation with the Profit and Loss responsible manager of the contract manufacturing operations sites including business reviews and coach all contract manufacturing staff to make financially sound decisions
- Maintain finance and control standards within the contract manufacturing group of the business in close cooperation with the CFO
- Lead the business case process for development and investment for the group in close relationship with the CFO
- Ensure the timely and accurate provision of accounts, forecasts and business plans
- Responsibility for the finance function of the Contract Manufacturing and responsible to build the team of controllers for local organisations
- Lead the improvement and the efficiency of the financial processes within the contract manufacturing
Requirements:
The Business Controller Operations has the authority to plan and carry out their work within the department and between departments taking into account quality and environmental manual, employee handbook, authorisation policy and according to budget
- Experience as Financial Leader with a proven record of achievement
- Experience from working in international organisation
- Solid knowledge of accounting, budgeting, financial controls, and financial systems
- Experience from working in production companies
- Experience in handling tax, pension and insurance issues
- Experience of managing and developing people and processes
- Systematically documented development of the area of responsibility following key performance indicators and Business Plan for Western Europe Region
