Our client is the leading international supplier of speed measurement technology, with headquarters in Basel and a global customer base in the fields of energy production, railways, automotive, aerospace, hydraulics, diesel engines and textile machines.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager for Mobile Hydraulics Industry and Aerospace and Defense Industry.
Duties:
- Finding, winning, keeping and developing strategic corporate customer relationships
- Management of a sales team and development of team’s responsiveness to improve customer satisfaction
- Creating customized technical solutions to meet customers’ specific needs in close cooperation with engineering teams
- Gathering competitor, market and customer information through field based sales activities in order to create awareness of market trends and competitive environment
- Performing sales administration activities in order to maintain accurate information essential to sustain revenue and customer service
Requirements:
- Dynamic and entrepreneurial personality
- Minimum of 5 years experience in B2B sales at the strategic account level
- Engineering background and/or a strong technical knowledge in the area of controls, sensors and/or instrumentation OR excellent application knowledge in mobile hydraulics or aerospace and defense industry
- Proven ability to meet sales goals within budgeted resources
- Strong negotiator
- Excellent verbal and written ability to communicate at management level, both internally and externally
Willingness to travel
Languages: Fluent in German and in English, other languages are a plus
